{DIY} Party Pom Poms
I ran across these cute pom poms while looking for cake ideas. Toni from Design Dazzle created these from tissue paper. I'm going to give them a try and I'll let you know how easy this DIY project really is!:) Click on the link at the bottom for your DIY step by step instructions.
Vintage Cupcake Toppers & Banner
I wanted to share my vintage style cupcake toppers & Banner I created today. I have some a huge stash of vintage jewelry buttons and lace and wanted to incorporate it into party decorations.

Here I created a cupcake topper with crepe paper, vintage lace and a rhinestone center. I added the lolli-pop stick so it can be used to add some wow to a cupcake, used in a center piece or as a party favor.

Vintage Inspired CIrcus Party
Well, I'm in the beginning stages of planning a circus party. I am doing Mock-Ups of each table...Sweets Table, Party Favor Table, Food & Drink Table, & Dining Tables. I wanted to share as I started with the sweets table.
I plan to create center pieces like the one I created below (my work in progress) with popcorn pales and cupcake covered styrofoam balls. I also used these vintage inspired liners to cover paper lanterns that I am planning to string on light strands.

I have to make approx 36 cupcake toppers like the ones pictured below. Made with crepe paper, loli-pop sticks and vintage Circus centers. ( available on www.maddysonslane.etsy.com)

Easter Banner How To
Happy Easter Banner
Ok, I love the from scratch crafts as much as the next but sometimes we just don't have the time to do it all. So, I want to show a few short cuts to creating a super cute Easter Banner.

I found this "Happy Easter" banner at my local craft store. These have become really popular and can even be found at Target, wal-mart, and the dollar store.

I then took ribbon in colors that matched the banner and cut them into strips. I also cut pastel and hot pink tulle into strips as well. With the rick-rack, I cut it into strip to fit accross the top of each paper letter.

Then start to tie the ribbon and tulle onto the ribbon holding the letters. I put approx 8-10 pieces of ribbon and tulle between each letter.
I created tulle "balls" by cutting an approx 18" long piece of tulle and split it down the middle. Then take your 1/2 strip of tulle and scrunch it accordian style. Once you have scrunched the whole strip tie it in the middle and fan out the tulle.
Next hot glue the rick-rack to the top of the banner pennants and glue a tulle ball to the bottom of each. When finished it should look something like the below picture.
