Lady Bug Party

I wanted to share my new Lady Bug line I am creating for Etsy and give a few tips for anyone who may be planning a Lady Bug Party.

I used simple black lanterns and adhered red spots to make them match the theme. I used a 2"punch to punch out circles from glittered red paper. Hanging decorations from the ceiling is a great way to get a big impact. Total cost of the 3 lanterns was $7.
I created the ladybug cupcake toppers and wrappers from my cricut and they are part of the line. The Flower style toppers were created by making the paper rosette and adhering a 1 1/2" glittered circle, and finishing it with a glittered foam ladybug.

This banner is also available in my shop ($12) or DIY...I used my cricut to cut out 5" black scallops and 4" red scallops. I then added gemmed chipboard letters to spell out "Party". I then punched holes in each side of the scallop to run my ribbon through. Finish by adding a felt Lady bug at each end.
If you are having a Lady Bug party anytime soon, you need to pick up some of these masks! They are available at Target in the $1 section!
One thing I can't take credit for are these super cute Lady Bug cake pops. Anne from C3 Bakery created these for my table.

I love to incorporate the theme into even little parts of the party. I used glittered red tulle to tie bows on the blow horns. I added a cute glittered lady bug to finish it off.
One last detail...I have purchased a bunch of these grass squares for my sons upcoming woodland/camping party. If you are throwing a party that incorporated the outdoors into the theme these squares of grass are great for decorating. They are available at Hobby Lobby in the Easter section for $4.99 but are 1/2 price this week!:)
